I took the pet picker quiz and it said a cat would be right for me. I don't think my dogs would be very happy with me if I got a cat. I tried Petfinder and Pet Harbor to search for adoptable pets and found both of these websites to be a great resource. I will definitely use one of these websites the next time I am looking for a pet.

After reading the article on How Credit Scores Work, I learned that some credit card companies have a policy of universal default. What this means is that if you default on a different loan then the interest rate on your credit card can rise. I had no idea that some companies do that.

I have never created a budget plan. I have thought about it but I just don't have the time to sit down and make one.

I like being able to access my info on the TCDRS website. There is a guide to member benefits that is very helpful to understanding how your retirement plan works.

My bank does offer online banking but I do not use it. I pay my bills online on the website that I am paying the bill for.
I am going to try using Wesabe to manage my budget. It looks like it is very user-friendly and should help me out in figuring out where I spend my money.
As for ways to cut back on spending, I already buy some generic drugs and store-brand items at the grocery store. I am going to try to stop buying so much bottled water.

I love the Arcade Retro website. It has all my favorite old arcade games. Since I have played these games since I was younger I think it is easier for me to play them than people who have never played a video game.

The Wii is probably the best system for the library since most of the games are kid friendly. I think gaming aids in learning, because most of the games require a lot of thinking and good hand-eye coordination.

I'm sure a lot of gamers will come to the library just for the games, but I'm sure a few will come for the games and end up staying for the books.

I read all of the articles. I played I'll Get It which I enjoyed playing but I wasn't very good at it. I also played Within Range, this one I didn't like very much.



Gaming does belong in the library. More kids and teens will be drawn to the library to play the video games and they might end up checking out a book to read while they are here. I think it's great that we are going to have gaming events for the teens.

I played the tutorial in Runescape and it was very easy to learn how to play the game. I didn't really like Runescape. I would rather play a shooter or racing game instead of a rpg.

I played FreeRice and Sudoku from the Houston Chronicle website. FreeRice is a fun way to learn some new words and definitions. I also tried some of the games from the FunBrain website. These are great educational games for kids.
